ELM has been established in 1979.
Since then it produces starters for the control of electrical motors and sistems for factory automation.
Characteristic of the whole range of ELM products is that they all are in-house made.
This allows to keep a high quality standard for the whole production. At the moment the procedures to obtain the certification of the quality sistem, according to the ISO 9001 norm, are in progress.
The acquired experience in the field of factory automation allowed the company to propose itself as partner to carry out various "Custom" applications of process control sistems, developed on specific customer request, both under traditional control or under microprocessor, for every application field.
In the field of factory automation the company can put itself forward for the whole supply of the control sistem, from the project to the final installation.
The design is entirely in-house made with the support of the most modern drawing, mastering and software developement CAD sistems.
The sales and productive management is wholly computerized, with all the units involved in the productive sistem linked together.
The production sistem is highly computer-based and the whole production uses for years SMT technology components, together with the traditionals only for the solutions that call for them.
This technological choice, together with the adoption of an "In circuit" automatic test sistem for the testing of the products, has brought in a great increase of the production reliability and has allowed to obtain for the built products a great increase of the pertinent MTBF.
The company, that has got 25 employed persons, works in the industrial area of Nichelino, to the south of Turin, on a working area of 1200 sqare meters, of which 200 used as offices and services.
